On Feb. 24, 2022 Russia declared an unprovoked war on Ukraine and launched a full-scale invasion. Russia is currently bombing peaceful Ukrainian cities, including schools and hospitals and attacking civilians who are fleeing conflict zones. During the first 13 days of the war, more than 3 million refugees have been forced to flee Ukraine and the situation for civilians is rapidly deteriorating. Ukraine and its people urgently need your help.

#StandWithUkraine contains practical information for Ukrainians (both in Ukraine and refugees abroad) and tips for how citizens of foreign countries can help Ukraine with their donations and by raising public awareness and pressuring their governments to take action.

Companies around the world have the power to stop this aggression by refusing to support the Russian economy.

Writing a letter to authorities is the most powerful way to help Ukraine that only requires a few minutes of your time. Please consider doing so and follow the link below with instructions and templates:

Financial support is a critical tool to help underfunded Ukrainian military forces, medical volunteers, and displaced civilians. Please donate to whichever organizations you believe in and are comfortable supporting. If you would rather not fund military supplies, please consider donating to medical organizations dedicated to helping innocent civilians. Every dollar is meaningful, we thank you for your support.

Many employers have internal programs to help Ukraine, where they would match 100% of donations — please take advantage if your employer is one of them.

Posting on social media can raise awareness about the invasion and pressure political leaders to take action. Please consider writing posts advocating for your government to supply more defence equipment and/or enforce stronger economic sanctions against Russia. Please consider supporting only the positions you are comfortable sharing; for example, if you don’t think your government should send weapons, please still consider writing in support of economic sanctions to punish Russian aggression.

The Ukrainian government is looking for volunteers to join their general cybersecurity initiatives. No major IT skills are required for the IT Army. Additionally, the Ukrainian government needs more technical cybersecurity specialists for cybervolunteering.
